This is great, but let me explain...

When Radio Shack used to be around, you could get really inexpensive mics that were actually pretty decent. This is like that. I mean, at this price it should be terrible, and it just isn't. Did the sound quality match my $300 Shure mic? No, but it does sound good, nice and full, and I actually love that it has a mute switch. It can really come in handy sometimes.

The off-axis sound rejection is really good. It's very directional, which is good for anti-feedback in a live setting. The sweet spot is about 1" away from the grill.

It comes with a carrying pouch, mic clip, and cable.

Who would this mic be perfect for? Someone is running an open mic, and they don't want a bunch of people spitting into their personal mic or dropping it. Would be a perfect first mic for someone getting into singing. It would be good for the times when you wish you had an extra mic to hand someone to talk into, like at a wedding or something like that.

I thought the "radio shack" mic was gone the way of the dodo, but it's back and at a price you can't beat. You could buy three of these for under a Franklin!

The Carry-on microphone has a universal, average look.

Reliable Backup Microphone for Events

I got this microphone as a backup for the events I host, with the concern that my primary microphone system might fail during a critical moment. After testing it briefly, I can say that it performs well. The sound quality is clean and perfectly suited for speaking engagements, delivering clarity that ensures the audience hears every word. It feels sturdy and well-constructed, giving the impression it can handle regular use without issue. While I have not yet pushed it through a full event, the initial experience has been reassuring. This microphone checks all the boxes for a dependable and professional tool, especially for those who need a reliable backup for live performances.
